* Sunday, December 28, 2003 * Goal at the moment:
1) LEARN HOW TO MAKE A FRAME (on this blog) 2) finish this (typing blog entry) within 14 mins (tt's 12.17 am 28th dec, early morn) and get into bed by 12.45am Mood at da moment: Fine, a bit frustrated, nostalgy setting in (tt's the '210 syndrome'), eyes tired, wanna go to bed So. Hello bloggo. A lil busy this few days. Busy having fun lah, not like busy rushing something or another again... I'm really trying to sleep before 1 am in the nxt few days.... maybe it'll do me good yah. Didn't update for 3.5 days. whoa. So I guess I shall start my 'records' from x'mas eve (night)! received lil presents from my parents... $50 from dad, merci chocolates (yum!=) and associated candies (i.e. junk food) from my mum. heh... Oh yah I watched this Fantastic, and-when-I-say-fantastic-it's-fantastic-movie called 'Silent Night'... It's actually another one of those war movies. They've been showing a lot of these recently haven't they... Black Hawk Down, Band of Brothers, Forrest Grump (perhaps not exactly a war movie), and wat-my-dad-is-watching-now-but-i-do-not-want-to-watch and etc. I don't really like war movies. They're so sad and showcases human stupidity in it's purest and most naked form. Yea sure, love and patriotism and heroism and friendship and watever may be mixed into it, but it doesn't change da big pic. Which is about fighting-over-dumb-stuff and dying and pain ( =to leaving ppl u love behind and losing everything u have, including the ppl u love) But Silent Night is so damn nice man! (Set in: WWII. Told from point-of-view-of: A Tween/Teen boy, son of a lady.) It centres around a hut in Germany, where a German lady is taking refuge, together with her son. Two groups of soldiers (One German, one American, of cos) ended up spending the night in her house. No doubt they have loads of conflict and wanna kill each other and stuff, but the lady of the house holds everything together, and the soldiers sit down to share a same meal during X'mas eve... and in-some-complex-way, they managed to part as friends the next day. I guess some stuff's difficult to put down on paper, or perhaps I'm still not proficient at language arts enough. But this film touches ppl in tthis perplexing and complicated but yet somehow simple (ok wat am i talking) way. good one. another gd film i had seen recently on HBO was Forrest Grump (did i update this in this blog?). Reminds me a little of 'Our Town' (only with more humour :D. and eh. i think this film is nicer. ) Sorry gtg bloggo... gonna update events from x'mas day onwards tmr (sun) ;) =) oops. Goal No. 2 failed. It is now 12.39am and I click da "Preview Your Post" button ... * * * * * * * * *
