LOTR

Decided to give all entries a title... ;) Gonna add titles for past entries! Easier for recording i guess.

My Yesterday: Damn it wat did i do... oh, went to beauty world to get my nj blouse changed in the afternoon, cos it was a size 2 big. Did nothing much in the morning, just the normal stuff.

My Day : Watched LOTR at Eng Wah cinema at West Mall w/ YangLe,YeChuan, Eunice (Yap), CaiNa. We all went to Ruocheng's house for steamboat lunch after that. Met w/ Yangle at the cinema first (I was early ! ;) ). We haven't seen each other for so long! (ever since i met up with her and Caina in Beijing a month ago!).

The movie was totally FANTASTIC... ranking among one of my favs, together w/ Forrest Grump, Gattaca, Monster Inc. (is that the name?? bad memory!), and Silent Night.

LOTR the return of da King! ::: The effects were GREAT!!! And the wars rocked. (I hate war, but if it's a war btw pure good and pure evil... well tt's pretty outright who i'd suppport. i'm a nice person. kind of. hah.) I kind of want to watch the return of king again at IMAX. Sure tt it'll be breathing- taking... but the movie is so touching... and sometimes... i don't like to be emotional too often :D:D:D see first.

The actors were great too, and yes legolas and aragorn were handsome, but peter jackson and tolkein are the MOST awesome.... yah!!!! I loved the plot... the scenery... the effects.. the inspiration... the friendship... the hope... the middle-earth... the lord of the rings!!! haha ;) The friendship was touching (and I ended up tasting salt even though I was eating sweet popcorn), but I think I liked the 'hope' in it most. It's like... as long as you have hope you have a chance... and as long as you have a chance, the impossible's possible! There's so many quotes which mean 'don't give up' or "try, try, try" everywhere, but I guess it took me this movie to really kind of understand. Maybe I still don't really know, but at least better than b4!!

Speaking of trying and giving up. Thinking of it I think i kind of gave up 3 times this year (major 'give-up's... does not incl. deciding to get a new tube of toothpaste becos i really couldn't squeeze the remaing 1cm3 out from the old tube.) Shan't elaborate, but in that 3 times I'm sure I shouldn't have done it (given up and let go) 2 times... e other time not 2 sure. ;)

Actually I thought there's kind of a flaw in LOTR. I'm not sure if you can call it that, since it is sometimes flaws that give something perfection. But anyway, in life, there's nothing that's totally evil. In fact personally I think nothing's ever absolute in existence. (almost nothing. i guess i can think of some things that are absolute. not in the physical sense.) Mordor is always totally evil... but it isn't possible... because basically I don't believe something can BE totally evil. (well, i sure hope that there won't be any events in the future to overturn this belief!... *crosses fingers*) Though I think it may be possible for something to be totally good... i don't know about that. I suppose that would depend on the definition of 'totally'. LOTR revealed a lot about the fellowship and it's characters, but I'd love to know more about Sauron (is tt how 2 spell?) ... and Mordor... haha I know they don't exist in real life. but to me, unless i find some long-lost section of the book talking about Sauron's nature and his past, LOTR is still a tad away fr. true blue PerFeCtIoN in my heart.

*but nothing in life is perfect right? hah! LOTR still ROCKS THE Universe!!! and yes, I just re-read my entry and realized I'm not too sure what I mean at the 'nothing is absolute' part. oh well. my unconscious mind? ;)*
