Debate, Karate, (sugar and spice... :P)

time: 12.08 pm, 4th jan, sunday noon
emotional status: happy. worried abt wat is promised 4 orientation tmr... (mud rocks, right? i think. well i dunno. Yet.)

went to watch the world universities debating championships finals yesterday. [location: victoria concert hall. motion: this house supports the ban of abortions on grounds of permanent disability. not the most interesting in history, in my opinion. ] the ppl were good, but i spent a lof of time deciphering the accents. there were 4 teams in the finals, one from singapore institute of management [placed overall 4th, the highest ranking of an asian team ever! woohoo.], 2 from US i think, n one fr. sydney. so i was trying real hard to listen and eh almost fell asleep two times in the debate because of a person with a drooooning voice.
and the rgs debating ppl were there, quite a few of them! there were loads of ppl but meisan n i went there early (cos i got the time wrong. hmmm.). all the other debaters (must have been a hundred??.) who have been, erm, kicked out in the rounds b4 were there too, in very formal dress. it was only when i got home that i realized they were all either white or asian (yellow?), and i din rmb even seeing One single black... hmmm. i have, btw, changed my skin colour. i am no longer yellow (?!). I am Wiggo the Grey... muhahahahahaha....

*got to check who won in the end, cos it was getting late n i went home b4 they announced the results.*

haha had my first karate lesson at home at night yesterday. the instructor was great, very pro n patient, n not fierce at all (yea:D) =) but the uniform costed 60 bucks each, and it didn't look worth anywhere that, no offence though.
