College Day
35th anniversary celebrations
I'm really darn tired. College Day's just over. I thought it was great- going to Wensi's house in the morning to make the salsa/soup, popping into Far East w/ Weilin/Karen/Dot later on, rushing to sch to do some stupid translation selection test (eh this part is neutral.), and then (BinGo!) the start of the Food Fair. *grins
Today we prepared our food (nachos, served with melted cheddar/morazella cheeze and chuncky tomato salsa, plus some chili soup) at Wensi's house. I realized that cooking can actually be fun. Not fun for the sake of eating. But for cooking. Haha... Mr Tan [MI] was our head chef, leading the rest of us: Dot, Weilin, Tina, Xiaodan, Karen, Meisan n Me[the cooking-illerate one.] We were all close to tears, as there were so many onions to peel/slice/dice/cut/watever! (exp. to certain ppl who wore contacts). In any sense... it was fun *grins
But College Day itself. hmmm. It was great the way we worked together. But the turnout wasn't fantastic. Fine. We're not the best entrepreneurs, but we worked together.
The atmosphere is pretty stressed, thanks to the wonderful line-ups 4 nxt 2 wks, n perhaps other stuff too? But I sincerely plead to whoever who reads this, (nj n ny) to... pace yourself... be happy... (fine tt is something tt can't be requested)... and believe... that everything will resolve itself. Everything will. Sometimes perhaps not the way you want it, but... perhaps the best way? I dunno. Please... strive, and relax. At the same time. I dunno how. I'm just saying tt u're supposed to do tt k and u LISTEN.
[oops. dictatorship trait. arrrgh. sorry.] We all have our rough patches, but no matter wat... there's always the sun, the stars, and the sky...
