Refreshed. On teacher's day

Slept at an unprecedented nine o'clock yesterday. Woke up at nine today. Or rather, I slept at seven last night, got woke up at eight by piano teacher [she was late]. Went though an hour of piano half-awake and extremely grumpily [guilt]... Then it's back to slumberland again.

Feeling unusually refreshed! Aha! Yesterday was teacher's day! The celebrations in school really rocked: student and teacher performances. The ACES workout was... eh, unexciting to say the least. All the classes sat together for a breakfast picnic while watching the performances =] Wanted to go back to rv again, but was held up by debate meeting [YES, finally something about CCA]. And then last-min hw, which I didn't finish anyways.

So just got home. Then went imcb alone, 'cos Tammy couldn't make it. Last min got some chocs for the Dr. and the student for Teacher[Mentor?]'s Day! The latter [or rather his wife] just had a baby!! woo!! I have finally decided that imcb rocks. I shouldn't let stereotypes or other people's sentiments rub off me.

Last week was [tries to recall]... [Thanks blogger for losing the previous entry]. Oh yes, MI play was fun, one of the best group works I did in a long time! ABC... easy as 123... Unfortunately, I screwed up the whole play 'cos I forgot some lines on stage. [guilt again] Slept at 2 am on Sunday, rushing WP.

Olympics is over now. I thought I would suffer from withdrawal symtoms, but I seem to be surviving fine so far. It's so rare... that people of all the different countries can come together. Communist or democratic, developed or developing... On an event on such a large scale... watched by billions of people round the world. Sure, there's disputes, drug issues, probably cheating, unhealthy competition, what's not, but it's the spirit that stands. This seems so much better than Sydney 2000; maybe because I was too young to appreciate, or because Sydney is only... Sydney, while ATHENS is the birthplace of Olympics ages ago =]
Well, there is always Beijing 2008. I calculated that it's held after A-lvls and before university admission [is it...], so I'll definitely go back to watch.
